OMFArse

I'm starting to hate work just cause when I have nothing to do I end up on these forums and have to read all this nonsense. Who cares about hitler? wars? even religion? this post is about a guy who's getting flamed because he was recruiting for his guild that he wants to be made up of christians. Someone mentioned something about a public game and that by doing this is discrimination or some garbage. Well only recruiting lvl 20's, and only air ele's and only people from New York, those are all discriminating as well. Who cares!
I say that this person recruiting for an all christian guild is just fine. If you don't want to hear it, then turn off local chat.
And as for getting flamed for trying to have a guild for the community aspect of like minded individuals, if they say something to you, put em on the ignore list and get on with your life.

And just to cover my own arse, I am not a christian, nor any other known religion I have ever heard of. I guess you could say i'm undecided, and don't plan on deciding before I die If a all powerful being exists, thats nice, if not, thats nice to, I'd rather spend sundays playing GW or sleeping or hanging out with friends at the park or hiking or something. I think these are better for my soul.

/rant off

Or, you could just /ignore.

Whether you like it or not, most people do not remain in character in MMORPGs, particularly in their guildchat and other private communication channels.

I think it's far better to advertise up front so no one's time is wasted if there are philosophical differences.

There really isn't any Christian theology in Hitler's speeches and thus no indication that Hitler was actually a Christian. What I see is a man using the name of Christianity to promote his own hateful regime.

I think more peoples time is waisted reading those ads in gen chat and then hearing all the crap it starts up.

Yeah...like how around 75% of "christians" are just calling themselves christian (at least where I live). Jesus actually promoted love and tolerance, but I don't see much of that today. Do you?

So did the Reagans. That didn't make Ron and Nancy non-Christian.

Hitler's astrological or Atlantis beliefs have nothing to do with his religious ones, nor to they form a religion of a sort. Religion is not simply strong belief, and it is not simply supernatural belief -- pointing out someone's beliefs along these lines doesn't make a case for any particular religion on their part, pro or con.

I was never arguing against your point that Hitler was Christian. I couldn't care either way; I already have disdain for both

Can you be a Yeti and a Hobbit at the same time? Isn't that contradictory?

You are not going to stop people advertising in general chat so trying to limit who gets to advertise is ludicrous. You always have the option of /ignore. Time is not wasted by passively receiving information; it IS wasted by having to actively seek out information.

trying to find the damn article, was on newscientist and natioalgeographic.
It was about a fully bipedal small brained monkey people, that lived only 10,000 years ago when fully developed people lived.
